History Could very well repeat itself in the upcoming Great War in the New World. Monkey D. Dragon has finally declared open war on the Celestial Dragons from right within their Homeland of Marijoa.
Around the same time We also Learned of Garps past battle on Gods valley alongside Gol D. Roger when they defeated Rocks D. Xebecs as he attempted to overthrow the Celestial Dragons from power.
There has not been much mention within the community of this inevitable clash, but It’s definitely going to shake the fandom when it’s finally at the forefront. Garp does not like or approve of the Celestial Dragons, but he stays steadfast to the Marines and his sense of Duty no matter what.
Family Vs. Duty
In Marineford Garp made it clear that he would choose his Duty over his Family. His Adopted Son was killed right before his eyes even though he had the power and chance to save him. Of coarse he had to be held down but that was after the fact and even still he also allowed Sakazuki to give chase to His Grandson Luffy in the final momentsof the War.
When Dragon and his revolutionaries finally reach Marijoa for a full scale attack, Garp would be yet again forced to uphold his Duty as the Hero of the Marines and Challenge him head on. Let’s also keep in mind that his Adopted Grandson and Chief of Staff Sabo would surely be present as well and this would only increase the mental strain on the Old Soldier.
For me there are a few possibilities or Outcomes that could happen if they do finally reunite. But either way it goes it’ll be a tear jerker for sure!

If we are to look at both “Strawhat” Luffy and “Captain” Kid, while there are a number of similarities there’s also a good deal of differences as well.
Pirate Alliances are Required in order for a pirate crew to take on a Yonko directly to even stand a small chance at victory or even surviving in the first place.
When we look at Luffy’s attempts at the Yonko the big difference is that he’s managed to surround himself with trusted allies whom would stand by their word when push comes to shove.
when Luffy and his crew formed his second alliance with Capone Bege in Whole Cake Island in their plot to rescue sanji and Take out Big Mom. Capone Bege played a major role in what all had happened withing Big Moms territory
Capone Bege gave Major assistance with the Intel of Big Mom and her mental weakness being triggered by any damage being done to Mother caramels Picture. Later on Bege even manages to save the entire alliance from eminent destruction by activating his Castle devil fruit for a chance to Retreat.
Fans point out Eustass Kid losing an arm to the “Red Hair” Pirates but have overlooked Luffy’s own past peril when he was captured by the Enraged army! Luffy was moments away from losing both of his arms if not for Jinbei who had just decided to Leave Big Moms crew in place for the Strawhats.
The Germa 66 also played a crucial role when they all rescued both Sanji and Luffy from being captured after Luffy had managed to defeat the sweet general Katakuri in the mirror world. The Strawhats Brief alliance With Capone did not end in betrayal and the teamwork between both Crews earned them their survival and allowed them to escape whole Cake Island.
Luffy’s alliance with Trafalgar Law now have a chance to really shine and so far it has been going smoothly with them capturing The Scientist Caesar, Taking out “Joker” Doflamingo, and now have successfully infiltrated Wano.
This Will be Luffy and Laws first team up against a Yonko directly, in a way that similar to Bege and Luffy when they were up against Big Mom Directly with her in actual Proximity unlike Dressrosa since Kaido himself was not present on the island.

Unlike The Strawhats, The Kid Pirates have not had a successful alliance. When Kid decided to take on Shanks he was Reckless enough to do it alone with no assistance from any other Supernova. Kid had no Jinbei, Bege, Or Germa 66 to bail him out at whatever crucial situation he had found himself in.
No regular Pirate Crew in the new world would be able to Take on an Emperor alone and come out Victorious.
The Consequences for Kid’s rash actions were a few serious battle scars and a missing arm. Then even after learning his lesson at the behest of his right hand Killer. when he attempted a formal alliance between two other supernova it ended in complete disaster.
This was after Stealing something important from Big Mom while also wounding one of her commanders.
The aftermath of this Betrayal has been devastating for the Kid Pirates. The first mate has been tortured and force fed a faulty Smile fruit with no known cure being available. then the rest of the crew are working under Shogun Orochi at the threat of their Captains Life.
The Shame and wounded Pride is very clear in that above picture, he was being shown Pity and mistaken for being his rivals friend. He had to sit there and watch as Luffy as he took center stage and left him in the background to just witness his glory. In Kids eyes this whole predicament was at the fault of putting his trust in other people other than his own Crew.
It’s going to be tough for Kid to work together with anyone else after an experience like this. The rebellion has begun and it’s been multiple days without word on if he and killer were able to rescue their captured friends.
It’s not too Likely that Kid will make an appearance while the rebellion happens on Onigashima but that only means that there could potentially be a second battle after the day of the festival in which more parties would be involved.
Eustass “Captain” Kid and Killer are not going to play second fiddle to Luffy and The Samurai of Wano. Kid turned down Luffy’s invitation to a team up and he’s going forward alone to take on whoever stands in his way to Find his Nakama.
