Welcome Back to Twilights Cavern ! it’s been a while since I’ve posted on Hajime No Ippo so I’ve fallen behind hence this will be a combination of two chapters so it’s going to be a lengthy post !
Been writing a lot of One Piece Content so if you’re a fan of that series take a browse through our posts. Now before we get started you can enjoy some Midnight Blues with Mr. Yabuki Joe.
(Hajime No Ippo 1281 Read) (Hajime No Ippo 1282 Read)

In Chapter 1281 we got the finally got the chance to see Miyata again after quite some time. Thankfully enough Miyata gave us some insight on his views on the upcoming Fight between sendo and Alfredo. I’ve saw a few fans swear up and down that because Alfredo knocked out Ippo, that Sendo would only suffer the same fate because Ippo has defeated him twice in the past.

The gym mates of Miyata even mentions this themselves but if you’re savy to this boxing/fight game you’d know that styles makes fights. In Real Life Foreman nearly Killed Joe Frazier and ken Norton who both of which were Tough Fights for Muhammad Ali and yet Ali took out foreman in spectacular fashion in the Rumble in the Jungle.
as Miyata had explained Alfredo is a counter Puncher and to face good fighters like Sendo who have an awkward or unconventional style, it’s tough to time and land counter shots on them the same way you would on a fighter like Ippo whose a lot more conventional in his approach.
Alfredo in my opinion definitely should not focus on landing any big counters early on against Sendo, Otherwise it could go real bad for him real fast. speaking of which depending on how this fight goes, it’s kind of like a sneak peak on how Sendo vs Miyata would play out in a sense.

Now the seriousness of this chapter didn’t last long as we see how Miyata and every other Fighter in the gym had no clue on how to solve Middle school Math ! now I’ll admit even in real life the math level in middle school is way more advance than when I attended and i’m only 23 !
It was hilarious to see miyata scold his team only to realize that the shit is way more complicated than he realized. (#algebrasucks) Miyata even went as far as calling it useless to actual everyday life and asking his former Rival Mashiba for help who also made an appearance this chapter.
Turns Out Mashiba is more Intelligent than he leads on with the way he quickly solved the math problems that had perplexed Miyata all day. that wasn’t his only good deed that night as he also fed Miyatas little Cat before finally Taking off.
Takamura also Made it back to Japan from his travels to visit someone who we have not learned of yet but I’m sure that person will play a role In takumuras next Title fight for Sure.

This chapter was just updating us on the struggles of cutting weight and fight preparation. Aoki, Itagaki, and Kimura all have fights coming up and they’re pushing their bodies to the limit.
Most If not all fighters minus most of the heavyweights, do not Fight at their walk around weights due to the fact that for one your fight weight in which you feel the healthiest and more athletic can vary different than when you’re bloated on water weight.
then there’s also the fact that if you walk around at 164 usually the people you get matched up against are going to be cutting from 180 or around that range so that they will have an advantage against smaller opposition.

This was a short and quick chapter so there is not much to talk about but Aoki has been on a tear and I don’t think he’s going to have a problem in his upcoming fight. Itagaki on the other hands needs to buckle down and focus so that he can live up to his potential.
Everyone seems to go through this struggle except for Ippo and he always seem to point out how it seems unfair for this to be the case. If Ippo did have weight struggles, with his work ethic and mindset it wouldn’t pose a real problem either way.

Kimura seems to be killing himself and he’s down to resorting to reducing the amount of saliva to bring down his weight to the acceptable limit. (Chewing gum and spitting constantly does indeed work and if you’ve competed in a combat sport you would have at least once resorted to doing this yourself) This was a short chapter so not much to expand on but check out Wilders Ko of Ortiz last saturday !
Here’s a shout out to our World champion Deontay Wilder retaining his world Title with a comeback KO that ended the fight with one Shot.
