I hope your day has gone or will go well but welcome back to the Cavern this post has been revised and edited so much over time because quite Honestly Eustass Kid Is One of my Top 3 characters within the story of One Piece.

the portrayal of Luffy and Kid being equals seem so obvious yet many fans refuse to see kid as an actual contender among the heavyweights of the series. I believe Eustass Captain Kid will quiet all of his doubters in this arc in Wano, Oda has given subtle and blatant hints of Kids portrayal to be a equal to Monkey D. Luffy. whether you look back on their initial bounties in Sabaody to the comparison of ambition and willpower evident with them both having conquerors haki.

when we talk about current portrayal, lets talk about Chapter 926 Luffy and Kid were having their rivalry moment within the Udon mines, both guys were evenly matched when it came to physically competing with one another. Oda was basically giving us his own Naruto/Sasuke or Vegeta/Goku dynamic between the two characters. he comically even went as far as to have kid bloat up in size with Luffy after they both finished devouring most of the food within the Mine storehouse.

Oda was clearly addressing the fan base when he had Kid address the rumors that were circulating around him, Kid during the 2 year time-skip was taking on or having altercations with Yonko directly with no alliances or help from outside forces which should be evident with his personality.

When we look at Luffy and his exploits against yonko and the like, the biggest difference is something that was addressed within Marinford by Hawk eye Mihawk. Luffy has the ability to gather supporters and allies without even making a real attempt in doing so. without law luffy’s fight against Doflamingo could’ve gone in a completely different direction. Then again with his alliance with Capone Bege against Big Mom He more than likely would not have survived his confrontation with Big mom and her children without his help. Now in comparison to Eustass Kid it’s almost the complete opposite. When he clashed with the Red Haired Pirates, he had no allies other than his crew to assist him in that battle which in turn led to the loss of his arm and then defeat. When he finally decided to form alliances he was completely Betrayed by Apoo who was working for Kaido in secret the entire time. with Hawkins it was no better as he refused to Assist Kid and Killer in their battle against Kaido, so once again he had no allies and faced a yonko alone and suffered defeat yet again.

I personally suspect that Captain Kid injured the former Sweet Commander Snack which gave the Mad Monk Urouge a chance to defeat him. It would only make sense for it to be Snack as no other sweet commander was injured during Luffys rampage in whole cake. Let me elaborate, Katakuri Was not injured upon introduction obviously and neither was Cracker as he himself has stated his true form has not been seen in a long time. last we have smoothie and judging from the way she was carrying herself, there was no indication of her have being injured at all in the arc. So the only logical assumption would be Snack who has been shown to have a hate for the worst generation. if he only hated Urouge he wouldn’t include the generation as a whole in my opinion.

Now The biggest information we received was the discovery that he lost his arm facing off against the Red Haired Pirates and even with this revelation people still undermine his ambition to be King. Kid really only has Killer to rely on when it comes to the strength of his own crew While Shanks as we all know has a crew full of Monsters who could level many pirate crews within seconds. we don’t know who exactly took Kids arm but it could easily be anyone of the Red Haired pirates who could’ve done it.

I don’t think Kids experience with Kaido and being locked up in Udon mines has changed his outlook on things and the way he chooses to accomplish his goals. don’t be surprised to hear of him rampaging through Wano destroying villages and Samurai of Orochi in order to find his crew. the fan base has been greatly ignoring his presence but I expect Kid or Killer to be the ones to take out some of Kaidos All stars/Calamities rather than Zoro or Sanji. no one has considered a Kid vs King match up or kid vs jack, no you will mostly find either the straw hat crew of one of the scabbards But Oda would not set Kid up to not shine in this Arc.

We now know that Apoo is indeed in Wano and I have a feeling that he may not be leaving Wano the same way he entered if at all after Kid finds him. Kid and Apoo actually have nearly come to blows in the past which is kind of ironic in a sense. But do not be surprised to find out that before the arc is over that Eustass Kid and his crew have Crucified Apoo leaving him for dead somewhere.

Captain Kid is no Bellamy, he will back up his talk soon enough and he seriously needs to in order to truly compete with Luffy in becoming the Next pirate king. He MUST accomplish something this arc to catch up to Luffy whose at 1.5 billion berries ! whereas he is leagues behind at 470 million and Oda has stated in the past he has Huge plans for Kid and like I said the only way that happens is if he does something similar to what Luffy and Capone Bege had done in Whole Cake.

So to end it off I expect at the end of Wano Eustass Kid will have defeated at least 1 of Kaidos all stars and for him to do something so major that it jumps his bounty to being on par with Luffys which would again bring back that initial dynamic of him Being a player for the crown
